Lol: Riot's lie about the skills that almost no player knows
Riot Games has been lying on the operation of League of Legends . He does it to put pressure on us when the chronometer marks zero in the champion selection phase and in reality there are still four seconds. It also deceives players unintentionally because of some human forgetfulness and is even guilty of not being sincere in relation to the functioning of skills . At least not if we compare that it really happens with what the spells explain what they will do in their description. A particularly remarkable situation if we focus on the effects of adversaries.
A lie because of the functioning of League of Legends
We have all suffered those occasions in which we receive the effect of a control skill, and we have the feeling that it has lasted more than it should. Normally we do not simply think about it a second and continue playing assuming that we must have our spoiled internal stopwatch. However, we are wrong. Against what the descriptions of League of Legends skills say, accuracy does not exist in the video game . In this sense, being affected by a Morgan prison with zero of tenacity can immobilize us between 3 and 3.3 seconds. The same can happen with the definitive lioness, although this will affect us for between 1.75 and 2.05 units of time.
All players can check this situation in the practice tool with the definitive lioness. Thus, we verify that, with the criteria we had put, the definitive had different durations. It can also be seen that in all cases it was less than expected, but that is a visual error related to the indicators of the duration of the stunning (or when establishing the measurement parameter) that we should not take into account. The important thing is that we always use the same measurement criteria : the first frame in which the stunned and the last icon appears before it goes. The result obtained was not consistent with the official descriptions of the skills.
What we would expect is that time was the same, but what we obtained is a variable amount . To clear doubts we also have the wisdom of the community. Users have talked about this situation on several occasions and even conducted a study. Particularly interesting were the results of the latter, which showed again as The duration of stunning skills is almost always greater than expected . A situation that has made many players wonder why the hell happens. The quick answer, and now we go with the explanation, is that Riot does not want to go crazy.
Like all games, League of Legends has something called Re fresco rate. This is the rhythm to which the information is updated. In the case of Riot Games Mob the process is quite complex, but we are going to stay with this data: The game refreshes the information every 0.33 seconds . The remarkable effect of this is that, if we receive a stunning in the second 0.01 after the update, its duration will be three tenth superiors. The same for the rest of the game's control effects. However, since there is no exact duration the developers simply put the one they have scheduled.
Fortunately, most League of Legends skills only last around a tenth and a half more than due . This is due to a matter of probability: almost all stunning will be launched around the intermediate point from when the server is updated until it is updated. However, and being pure luck, we can also take an immobilization that lasts the aforementioned three tenths of second additional.
Note : To simplify we have talked about stunning throughout the article, although it applies to all immobilization and control effects (rooted, slowed, disabled...). Please, if you use this article to create your own contents consider citing it and using a link.
