Borussia Dortmund: Fans are allowed to design home jersey

Borussia Dortmund is looking for a special home jersey for the 2023/24 season, which was designed by fans. BVB Captain Marco Reus and Klautegende Dede are part of a nautical jury that meets a preselection from 15,000 submissions. From the 25th of February the fans may finally vote on the new design.

"There were many things in which I said: 'They look really cool," said Reus about the numerous suggestions of the fans (here's the video). According to association information fans from more than 100 countries, their designs for the home jersey 2023/24 should have sent their designs under the motto "Design Datt Ding".

Currently, the jury is about Reus and Dede in a selection process to give the nine best designs. Subsequently, the fans may determine in a voting from 25 February to 18 March, as the Jersey should look like. A first selection of potential designs is already leaked.

Last fall, BVB had received a shitstorm after the design of the black-yellow champion league jersey has been released. Both the neone yellow color selection and almost invisible club crest was severely criticized by the trailers.

Fans spoke on Twitter of a "desolate design" or an "absolute impudence". Now the Borussia itself has confessed "Some fashion escapades and total mistakes" and seeks together with the trailers for a new jersey.
